Role & responsibilities The CNC Operator will operate computer-controlled machinery to manufacture precision components according to engineering drawings, production schedules and quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines.
- Load materials, tools and workpieces correctly.
- Read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Check dimensions using measuring instruments.
- Monitor production quality and machine performance.
- Identify machining defects and report technical issues.
- Follow maintenance and safety procedures.
Preferred candidate profile
- ITI, diploma or relevant machining qualification preferred.
- Experience operating CNC milling machines, CNC lathes or other specified equipment.
- Knowledge of machine setup, tooling and measurement.
- Familiarity with G-code, offsets and programme adjustments where required.
- Knowledge of quality-control procedures.
