Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to lead and strengthen the security posture of our cloud environments. This role will focus exclusively on securing cloud infrastructure, implementing security controls, establishing cloud governance standards, and driving security-by-design across cloud platforms. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in cloud security architecture, Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), Infrastructure as Code (IaC), cloud-native security services, and cloud threat remediation.

This individual will work closely with Cloud Engineering, Platform, Infrastructure, and DevOps teams to ensure cloud environments remain secure, compliant, and resilient.

Key Responsibilities Cloud Security Architecture & Engineering · Design, implement, and maintain security controls across cloud environments (GCP, Azure, AWS). · Develop and enforce secure cloud architecture patterns and reference designs. · Establish cloud security guardrails, standards, and baseline configurations. · Ensure cloud deployments align with organizational security requirements and industry best practices.

Cloud Security Posture

Management (CSPM) · Manage and optimize cloud security posture using CSPM platforms. · Continuously identify and remediate cloud misconfigurations, excessive permissions, exposed services, and policy violations. · Drive posture improvement initiatives and reduce cloud security risks across all environments. · Develop cloud security dashboards, metrics, and reporting for leadership visibility Cloud Security Governance & Compliance · Establish and maintain cloud security standards aligned with CIS, NIST, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and industry best practices. · Conduct cloud security assessments and control reviews. · Support cloud audit readiness and compliance initiatives.



· Drive remediation of control gaps and security findings identified through assessments and audits. DevSecOps & Infrastructure Security · Integrate security controls into Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines. · Review Terraform and cloud deployment templates for security compliance. · Implement policy-as-code and automated security validation controls. Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security throughout the cloud development lifecycle.

Pay Rate: $4.00-$6.00 an hour depending on skills and experience

Skills and Requirements

Required Qualifications · Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. · 5 years of experience in Information Security with at least 3 years focused on Cloud Security. · Hands-on experience securing cloud environments in: o Google Cloud Platform (GCP) o Microsoft Azure o Amazon Web Services (AWS) · Robust understanding of: o Cloud security architecture o Cloud networking and segmentation o Encryption and key management o Infrastructure as Code (IaC) o Container and Kubernetes security o Cloud compliance frameworks

Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should have a hands-on GCP exposure with a strong understanding of how cloud platforms are designed, secured, and operated. They should possess proven experience implementing security controls at scale, partnering with Cloud Engineering and Platform teams, and translating security requirements into practical, automated solutions that enable secure cloud adoption. This role is focused exclusively on Cloud Security Engineering, with primary responsibilities spanning Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), cloud governance, cloud security architecture, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), AWS/Azure/GCP security, DevSecOps integration, and continuous security posture improvement.

The successful candidate should bring deep technical expertise in securing cloud environments while driving security-by-design principles across cloud platforms and services.
