Position: Civil Engineer – Industrial Projects

■

SModi Infrasteel Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to independently supervise, manage, and execute civil construction activities related to Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings (PEB), industrial sheds, warehouses, factories, and other industrial infrastructure projects.

The candidate must have practical site execution experience in PEB foundations, RCC works, industrial flooring, boundary wall construction, and complete site development activities.

■ KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. FOUNDATION & RCC WORK

▪ Execution and supervision of PEB building foundations, isolated footings, combined footings, and pedestal foundations.

▪ Anchor bolt setting, alignment, leveling, and verification as per approved PEB drawings.

▪ Supervision of excavation, PCC, reinforcement, shuttering, concreting, and curing activities.

▪ Verification of foundation dimensions, levels, centerlines, and grid layouts.

▪ Coordination with PEB structural engineers for foundation drawings and anchor bolt requirements.

▪ Ensuring proper reinforcement placement and concrete quality as per approved structural drawings.

2. INDUSTRIAL FLOORING WORK

▪ Execution and supervision of industrial flooring, including RCC, PCC, and VDF flooring.

▪ Monitoring floor levels, slopes, reinforcement, and concrete thickness.

▪ Supervision of floor hardener application, finishing, construction joints, and expansion joints.

▪ Ensuring flooring quality, surface finishing, and proper curing.

3. BOUNDARY WALL & MASONRY WORK

▪ Execution of industrial boundary walls, including foundations, RCC columns, beams, and brickwork.

▪ Supervision of masonry, plastering, and finishing activities.

▪ Monitoring alignment, levels, structural stability, and workmanship.

▪ Execution of compound walls, retaining walls, and other related civil structures.

SITE DEVELOPMENT & OTHER CIVIL WORKS

▪ Internal roads, paving, drainage systems, and stormwater management.

▪ Site grading, leveling, excavation, and backfilling.

▪ Construction of utility foundations, equipment foundations, and miscellaneous RCC structures.

▪ Coordination of underground services, drainage lines, and other infrastructure works.

5. SITE EXECUTION & CONTRACTOR MANAGEMENT

▪ Independently manage day-to-day civil construction activities at project sites.

▪ Coordinate with civil contractors, subcontractors, supervisors, and labor teams.

▪ Prepare daily work schedules and monitor project progress.

▪ Ensure timely availability of manpower, machinery, materials, and equipment.

▪ Monitor contractor productivity and ensure execution within project timelines.

▪ Resolve site-related technical and execution issues.

6. QUALITY CONTROL & SAFETY

▪ Ensure all civil works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and applicable IS codes.

▪ Conduct quality inspections for reinforcement, shuttering, concrete, masonry, and flooring.

▪ Monitor concrete testing, slump tests, cube tests, and material quality.

▪ Ensure proper construction practices and compliance with site safety requirements.

▪ Maintain quality inspection records and site documentation.

7. BILLING, ESTIMATION & DOCUMENTATION

▪ Prepare and verify BOQs and material quantity calculations.

▪ Check contractor running bills (RA Bills) and final bills.

▪ Prepare measurement sheets and maintain Measurement Books (MB).

▪ Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.

▪ Prepare daily progress reports (DPR), weekly progress reports,



and project status updates.

▪ Maintain site records, drawings, inspection reports, and execution documentation.

■ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

▪ Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering.

▪ Experience in industrial construction, PEB foundations, warehouses, factories, or infrastructure projects.

▪ Strong practical knowledge of RCC construction, industrial flooring, boundary walls, and foundation execution.

▪ Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.

▪ Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Excel, BOQ preparation, and contractor billing.

▪ Familiarity with construction quality standards and IS codes.

▪ Strong site management, planning, and coordination skills.

▪ Ability to independently handle multiple civil construction activities.

■ PREFERRED CANDIDATE PROFILE

▪ Candidates with previous experience in PEB industrial building projects will be given preference.

▪ Must possess robust technical knowledge and practical site execution experience.

▪ Should be capable of independently managing civil contractors and site activities.

▪ Must be willing to travel and work at different project locations as required.

▪ Strong communication, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
