Chief Technology Officer – Cybersecurity Services

Mumbai based | Reporting to the Board | Group technology leadership The opportunity

Our client is a fast-growing, founder-led cybersecurity and digital services group partnering with more than 600 clients worldwide, many in highly regulated industries. It delivers end to end, from advisory through to 24x7 managed security, alongside cloud, data and AI, and has strategic partnerships with leading AI and enterprise platform vendors.

As it enters its next phase of growth, it is appointing a Chief Technology Officer to own its technology vision, innovation agenda and cybersecurity solution strategy. The CTO will be a strategic partner to the executive team and the senior technical authority for the business. A background built in cybersecurity is essential, ideally within a GSI, a top global consultancy or a leading cybersecurity firm.

The role

Technology vision and strategy

- Define and deliver the long-term technology and innovation strategy, aligned to business goals
- Create differentiation through innovative cybersecurity and digital solutions
- Track emerging technologies and market shifts to find current business opportunities
- Build roadmaps that support expansion, scalability and profitability

Innovation and new capabilities

- Incubate and commercialise new cybersecurity services, platforms and IP
- Drive innovation across AI-driven security operations, cloud security, automation, MDR/XDR, identity security, threat intelligence, DevSecOps and cyber resilience
- Build accelerators,



frameworks and reusable assets that improve service delivery

Cybersecurity leadership

- Act as the senior technical authority on security architecture, operations and the threat landscape
- Guide solution strategy across SOC and managed security services, MDR/XDR, cloud security, security engineering, IAM/PAM, data security, OT/IoT security, application security and Zero Trust
- Advise customers and executive stakeholders as a trusted cybersecurity expert

Team building

- Build, mentor and scale high-performing technology and engineering teams
- Develop future technology leaders through coaching and succession planning
- Attract top talent across cybersecurity, AI, cloud, engineering and solution architecture

Customer, market and partners

- Represent the business with customers, analysts and industry forums as a technology evangelist
- Support large pursuits, RFPs and executive-level customer discussions
- Build relationships with CXOs, CISOs and CIOs across client organisations
- Lead alliances with major security, cloud and platform vendors to create differentiated offerings

Governance and operational excellence

- Set technology governance, architecture standards and engineering best practice
- Ensure quality, reliability and security across all technology initiatives
- Define the KPIs for technology and innovation programmes

Essential

- 20 years in cybersecurity and technology, with at least 8 in senior technology leadership
- Has built and led a cybersecurity practice on the provider side, ideally within a GSI, a top global consultancy or a leading cybersecurity firm
- Deep managed security experience,



including taking SOC and managed security services through to MDR and AI-driven operations
- Has led cyber delivery or architecture across multiple regions, with large, distributed teams
- Hands-on architecture depth across SIEM, EDR/MDR, vulnerability management, application and cloud security (AWS and Azure) and Zero Trust
- A track record of creating reusable IP, such as detection libraries, response playbooks, accelerators or patented solutions
- A strong grasp of risk, compliance and governance alongside security operations
- Confident with boards, CXOs, CISOs and strategic clients
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or a related discipline

Advantageous

- Ownership of a practice P&L; or a revenue number for technology-led services
- Experience bringing agentic AI and automation into security operations
- Experience helping clients secure their own AI adoption, including AI governance
- Experience with enterprise workflow, risk and cloud platforms
- Experience building partner-aligned offerings with hyperscalers and the major security vendors
- Experience in a founder-led, high-growth business
