Reporting To: Accounts Manager / Finance Manager

Job Purpose To handle daily cash collections, customer payments, billing transactions, accounting entries, and cash reconciliation accurately while maintaining proper financial records and following dealership procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle customer payments for vehicle sales, service bills, spare parts, and other dealership transactions.
- Receive cash, UPI, debit/credit card, and bank transfer payments.
- Issue receipts for all payments and maintain proper supporting documents.
- Enter daily receipts and payment transactions in Tally ERP 9 / TallyPrime.
- Maintain cash book, receipt register, and daily collection reports.
- Reconcile physical cash with system balances and payment records.
- Verify UPI and card transactions before confirming payment.
- Coordinate with the sales, service, spare parts, and accounts departments.
- Assist in invoice verification, customer billing, and outstanding payment follow-up.
- Prepare daily cash closing reports and arrange cash handover or bank deposits as per company policy.
- Report cash discrepancies and transaction errors to the Accounts Manager.
- Maintain proper filing of vouchers, invoices, receipts, and other accounting documents.




- Support the accounts team during monthly closing and internal audits.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- B.Com / BBA or any graduate with basic accounting knowledge.
- Minimum 6 months to 2 years of cashier or billing experience.
- Automobile dealership experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Tally ERP 9 / TallyPrime is required.
- Basic knowledge of accounting entries, receipts, payments, and cash book maintenance.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and computer operations.
- Good numerical accuracy, honesty, and attention to detail.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Accuracy of cash handling and accounting entries.
- Timely completion of daily cash reconciliation.
- Correct recording of receipts in Tally.
- Proper documentation of all customer payments.
- Timely cash handover and bank deposits.
- Compliance with dealership accounting procedures.

Accountability The Cashier is responsible for accurate collection, recording, reconciliation, and safe handling of dealership funds, ensuring that all transactions are supported by proper documentation and authorization. Preferred Candidate: A candidate with 6 months to 2 years of experience, Tally knowledge, basic accounting skills, and preferably prior experience in an automobile dealership.
