Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled CAM Programmer to develop and optimize CNC machining programs based on engineering drawings and component specifications. The candidate will be responsible for generating toolpaths, selecting appropriate cutting tools, setting machining parameters, and ensuring precision, productivity, and quality in manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and modify CNC machining programs using CAM software and Siemens CNC controls.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical blueprints, and component specifications.
- Generate efficient toolpaths and optimize machining cycles for accuracy and productivity.
- Prepare and modify AutoCAD drawings for tool room requirements.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, tool holders, and machining parameters.
- Coordinate with CNC operators and the production team for program execution and troubleshooting.
- Verify machining programs and ensure components meet specified dimensional tolerances.
- Identify and resolve programming and machining-related issues.
- Support tool room activities, including tooling requirements and process improvements.




- Perform basic CNC machine troubleshooting and ensure proper machine maintenance.
- Maintain programming records, technical documents, and revision history.
- Follow workplace safety guidelines and maintain good housekeeping practices.
- Provide technical guidance to CNC operators and support training wherever required.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of CNC programming and CAM operations.
- Practical experience with Siemens CNC control programming.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and tool room drawing requirements.
- Understanding of cutting tools, machining processes, tool selection, and machining parameters.
- Knowledge of dimensional inspection and quality standards.
- Good problem-solving, analytical, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Desired Candidate Profile

- 3-4 years of relevant experience in CNC/CAM programming.
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Production, or a related engineering discipline.
- Hands-on experience with Siemens CNC controls.
- Robust understanding of manufacturing processes and tool room operations.
- Willingness to work in shifts as per production requirements.
