Role overview

This role makes the patterns, grades and markers for every style, and sets the fabric consumption that drives our costing and cutting yield.

Reports to: Factory Head (works closely with Sampling and Merchandising) · Location: Sonarpur · Experience: 5+ years in CAD pattern making for knitwear

Responsibilities

- Make patterns from tech packs, sketches and reference garments for knit styles (tees, polos, bottoms, kids’ wear, intimate wear).
- Grade patterns across sizes and size sets, and check measurements against buyer specifications.
- Create efficient markers on Gerber AccuMark, and keep marker efficiency high to cut fabric wastage.
- Give accurate fabric consumption for each style to Merchandising and Sampling for costing.
- Correct patterns after fit comments, shrinkage and wash tests, and maintain version control of approved patterns.




- Work with the cutting department so that markers, spreading and bundling match what was planned.
- Maintain a digital library of patterns and markers, and train and supervise the CAD operators.

Requirements
- 5+ years in CAD pattern making, grading and marker making, preferably in knitwear.
- Hands-on experience with Gerber AccuMark or similar CAD software.
- Strong understanding of knit fabric behaviour (stretch, shrinkage, spirality) and garment construction.
- Able to turn a design or reference garment into a production-ready pattern with minimal sample rounds.
- Diploma or degree in apparel or fashion technology preferred.

Good to have: experience in intimate wear or kids’ wear patterns; experience with embroidery and print placement.
