## Job Summary The CNC Programmer cum Operations Coordinator is responsible for developing CNC programs for laser cutting, punching, and bending machines while coordinating daily production activities across design, stores, fabrication, machining, and dispatch departments. The role ensures efficient machine utilization, material optimization, production scheduling, and on-time project execution.

## Key Responsibilities

### CNC Programming

- Create CNC programs for Laser Cutting, CNC Punching, and CNC Press Brake machines.
- Prepare nesting layouts to maximize sheet utilization and reduce scrap.
- Generate machine programs from CAD drawings and engineering designs.
- Optimize cutting paths and machine cycle times.
- Verify programs before production release.
- Maintain CNC program libraries and revision records.
- Support operators during program setup and troubleshooting.

### Technical & Engineering Support
- Interpret fabrication drawings, CAD files, and customer specifications.
- Coordinate with design engineers to resolve technical issues.
- Prepare production drawings and job files.
- Ensure manufacturability of designs before production release.
- Support design modifications and engineering changes.

### Operations Coordination
- Coordinate daily production schedules with fabrication and machining teams.
- Monitor work orders and production progress.
- Ensure timely availability of materials, tools, and programs.
- Coordinate between Stores, Production, Quality, and Dispatch.
- Track and expedite priority jobs to meet delivery commitments.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.





### Production Planning & Monitoring
- Prepare daily and weekly production plans.
- Track machine loading and capacity utilization.
- Monitor production output against targets.
- Generate production status reports for management.
- Ensure adherence to delivery schedules.

### Material Optimization
- Optimize sheet utilization through efficient nesting.
- Minimize raw material wastage and scrap generation.
- Review cutting plans for cost effectiveness.
- Coordinate material requirements with stores and purchase departments.

### Quality Control Support
- Ensure programmed dimensions conform to approved drawings.
- Support first article inspection (FAI).
- Assist in resolving dimensional and fabrication issues.
- Coordinate corrective actions for production non-conformities.

### ERP & Documentation
- Update production data in ERP systems.
- Maintain CNC program records and revision control.
- Generate production reports and machine utilization reports.
- Maintain job tracking sheets and production schedules.

### Safety & Compliance
- Follow company safety procedures and machine operating standards.
- Support implementation of 5S and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with quality management systems and SOPs.

## Educational Qualification

- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- Certification in CNC Programming, CAD/CAM, or Nesting Software preferred.
