Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled CAD Engineer / AutoCAD Draughtsman with experience in water and wastewater treatment projects, including WTP, STP, ETP, RO, UF, and desalination systems.

The candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed engineering drawings, plant layouts, equipment layouts, piping drawings, P&IDs;, and general arrangement drawings using AutoCAD. The role requires coordination with engineering, procurement, and project execution teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of drawings.

Key Responsibilities

1. CAD Drafting & Engineering Drawings

- Prepare 2D engineering drawings using AutoCAD based on design inputs, sketches, and technical specifications.
- Develop General Arrangement (GA) drawings for WTP, STP, ETP, RO, UF, MBR, and desalination plants.
- Prepare equipment layouts, piping layouts, skid layouts, and containerised plant layouts.
- Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs;).
- Prepare piping isometric drawings, sections, elevations, and detailed installation drawings.
- Prepare structural and foundation layout drawings based on approved engineering inputs.
- Modify and update drawings based on client comments, design changes, and site requirements.

2. Plant Layout & Equipment Drawings

- Prepare detailed layouts for pumps, blowers, filters,



pressure vessels, membrane systems, tanks, and dosing skids.
- Ensure correct equipment positioning, maintenance clearances, accessibility, and piping routing.
- Incorporate valves, fittings, pipe supports, instruments, and other piping components into drawings.
- Prepare fabrication and assembly drawings for equipment skids, pipe racks, and support structures using approved design details.

3. Engineering Coordination

- Coordinate with process, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, procurement, and project execution teams.
- Incorporate vendor drawings, equipment dimensions, technical specifications, and nozzle orientations into engineering layouts.
- Review drawings for dimensional accuracy, consistency, and adherence to project requirements.
- Incorporate client, consultant, and inspection comments into revised drawings.
- Maintain drawing revisions, documentation, and project drawing records.

Required Skills
- Robust proficiency in AutoCAD 2D.
- Experience in preparing GA drawings, P&IDs;, PFDs, piping layouts, and equipment layouts.
- Understanding of water and wastewater treatment plant equipment and systems.
- Knowledge of pumps, valves, piping components, tanks, filters, pressure vessels, and membrane systems.




- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and vendor documents.
- Good understanding of mechanical and piping drafting practices.
- Strong attention to detail and dimensional accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple drawings and meet project deadlines.

Educational Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
- AutoCAD certification or relevant CAD drafting training will be an added advantage.

Experience Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in CAD drafting or engineering design.
- Preferred experience in Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), Reverse Osmosis (RO), Ultrafiltration (UF), or desalination projects.
- Experience preparing plant layouts, piping drawings, and equipment drawings is preferred.
- Candidates from EPC, environmental engineering, water treatment equipment manufacturing, or industrial plant engineering companies will be preferred.

Preferred Candidate Profile We are looking for a detail-oriented CAD professional who can independently prepare and revise engineering drawings based on approved design inputs. The candidate should have practical experience in plant layouts, equipment arrangements, piping drawings, and engineering documentation.

Candidates with direct experience in water and wastewater treatment projects will be given preference.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
