Job Summary-We are seeking an aggressive and experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive B2B logistics growth for RK Road Transport Pvt Ltd. The candidate will focus exclusively on acquiring, managing, and expanding enterprise accounts within the Steel, Cement, Heavy Industrial, and Mining/Raw Material (Iron Ore, Coal, Clinker, Minerals, Aggregates) sectors across India.

Key Responsibilities.- Client Acquisition & Bulk Cargo Business Growth

- Identify, target, and convert key industrial B2B clients across major Steel Plants, Cement Manufacturers, Sponge Iron Units, Power Plants, and Heavy Manufacturing sectors Pan-India.
- Secure high-volume Full Truckload (FTL), Heavy Haulage, and dedicated multi-axle trailer/tipper fleet contracts.
- Pitch custom transportation solutions for coil, pipe, rebar, billet, loose cement, clinker, iron ore, and industrial raw material freight routes.
- Lead contract negotiations, participate in corporate tender submissions, and negotiate competitive freight tariffs to ensure high operational profitability.

2. Key Account & Trade Corridor Management

- Build and nurture robust corporate relationships with logistics, supply chain, and dispatch heads of major industrial conglomerates.
- Identify and expand high-density freight corridors (e.g., Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Jharkhand, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Andhra Pradesh routes).
- Work closely with industrial clients to understand monthly tonnage forecasts, plant dispatch schedules, and peak-season transport requirements.

3. Route Pricing & Bulk Freight Market Analysis

- Analyse Pan-India freight market rates, diesel price fluctuations, toll impacts, and competitive benchmark pricing across heavy transport trade lanes.




- Develop dynamic pricing models for specialized fleet types (Trailers, Flatbeds, High-Bed, Tippers, Multi-Axle HCVs).

4. Operational Coordination & Service Execution

- Collaborate with internal fleet, hub management, and dispatch teams to ensure 100% vehicle placement against client daily loading requirements.
- Enforce strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs), including On-Time Delivery (OTD), cargo safety, transit time adherence, and zero transit loss/damage.
- Manage operational escalations regarding plant loading delays, route transit issues, or unloading bottlenecks.

5. Billing Accuracy & Credit Control

- Ensure zero revenue leakage by managing rate approvals, contract renewals, demurrage billing, and weight bridge tolerance policies.
- Work with finance and collections teams to ensure timely payment realization within agreed credit limits and payment cycles.

Qualifications & Skills Required

- Education: Graduate in any discipline / MBA in Marketing, Supply Chain, or Logistics preferred.
- Experience: 5–10+ years of proven business development/sales experience in road transport, specifically handling Steel, Cement, Minerals, or Heavy Industrial Cargo.
- Industry Network: Strong existing network of supply chain decision-makers in steel manufacturing, cement companies, and raw material trading hubs across India.
- Core Skills: Deep understanding of trailer and tipper operations, bulk freight pricing dynamics, contract negotiation, and industrial client management.
