About the role

Numero Uno is looking for a Business Development Manager to drive franchise expansion across India. The work is to bring in new investors and grow our FOFO (Franchise Owned, Franchise Operated) and FOCO (Franchise Owned, Company Operated) stores.

We want someone who already has an investor network and can turn those relationships into signed franchise deals and opened stores. The target is new investment and a measurable number of store openings. Lead generation on its own is not the job.

Key responsibilities

1. Investor acquisition and relationship management

- Identify, approach and onboard investors and franchise partners across India.
- Bring your own investor network to Numero Uno and turn it into real investment opportunities.
- Build and keep relationships with high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, business owners and prospective franchise investors.
- Present the franchise opportunity, investment models and expected returns to prospective investors.
- Negotiate and close franchise deals to meet expansion targets.

1. FOFO and FOCO franchise expansion

- Grow the number of FOFO and FOCO stores in strategic markets across India.
- Match franchise partners and investors to the company's expansion strategy.
- Manage the franchise development cycle from first lead to final deal closure.
- Plan and carry out strategies to add franchise stores in key cities and markets.

1. Retail location identification and property finalization

- Find retail locations with robust potential, judged on market demand, target customers, footfall, visibility, accessibility and commercial viability.
- Assess rental terms, property suitability and location feasibility so that stores can operate profitably.




- Work with investors, landlords and internal teams to finalize properties for new stores.

1. End-to-end store opening and coordination

- Own the full expansion process, from investor identification and location scouting through deal closure and store launch.
- Keep lease agreements, franchise documentation, store setup and launch timelines aligned.
- Support the choice of locations that can sustain the business and give investors a commercially viable return.

1. Market research and business planning

- Research expansion opportunities, competitor presence and potential retail markets.
- Prepare investor pipelines, expansion plans and periodic business development reports.
- Track franchise leads, conversions, property finalization and store-opening progress.
- Deliver against targets for investor acquisition, franchise closures and new store openings.

Requirements
- 7 to 8 years of hands-on experience in franchise business development, retail expansion or franchise sales.
- A strong, established network of investors and prospective franchise partners.
- Demonstrated experience with FOFO and FOCO franchise models.
- Good understanding of retail location selection, commercial leasing, landlord negotiations and store feasibility.
- Ability to run the whole process independently, from sourcing investors to opening the store.
- Strong negotiation, relationship management, presentation and deal-closing skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India.

Must Have!!
- Experience in the apparel, fashion, lifestyle or organized retail industry.

- Franchise stores opened, tracked against agreed targets.

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,400,000.00 per year
