Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to support business operations, performance monitoring, reporting, and data-driven decision-making in the steel manufacturing industry. The candidate will work closely with production, sales, procurement, inventory, finance, and management teams to analyze business performance, identify improvement opportunities, and develop actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze business data related to production, sales, procurement, and operational performance.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports, dashboards, and management presentations.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production efficiency, capacity utilization, material consumption, inventory turnover, and sales performance.

Analyze actual versus planned production, sales, costs, and recommend corrective actions.

Coordinate with production, quality, Mechanical, Electrical, maintenance, and commercial teams to collect and validate data.

Identify process inefficiencies, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for operational improvement.

Develop and maintain Excel-based reports, Power BI dashboards, and other analytical tools. Extract, consolidate, and analyze data from ERP system.

Conduct root cause analysis for production losses, material wastage, delays, and performance deviations.





Prepare business reports, trend analyses, and presentations for senior management.

Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timely reporting across departments. /

Required Skills and Competencies

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.

Advanced MS Excel skills, including PivotTables, lookup functions, formulas, and data analysis.

Working knowledge of Power BI or other business intelligence tools.

Understanding of manufacturing operations, production planning, inventory control, and supply chain processes.

Knowledge of MIS reporting, KPI tracking, and performance analysis.

Familiarity with ERP systems or similar platforms.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Ability to present data and business insights clearly to management.

Robust attention to detail and ability to manage multiple reporting requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the steel, metals, heavy engineering, or manufacturing industry.

Understanding of steel manufacturing processes, raw material consumption, production yield, quality control, and dispatch operations.

Experience in cost analysis, variance analysis, and operational performance reporting.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Accuracy and timeliness of MIS reports.

Quality of business insights and management dashboards.

Effectiveness of data analysis and variance reporting.

Identification of cost-saving and process improvement opportunities.

Improvement in reporting efficiency and data accuracy.
