Key Roles and Responsibilities

· · Structural Design & Integration: Design structural frames, deep foundations, and load-bearing elements for multi-story commercial buildings using advanced CAD and BIM (Building Information Modelling) software.

· Systems Coordination: Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineers to seamlessly integrate HVAC systems, elevators, fire suppression, and complex electrical grids into the structural layout.

· On-Site Construction Management: Supervise contractors, conduct regular structural inspections, and ensure construction progresses safely according to blueprints and timelines.

· Zoning & Regulatory Compliance: Navigate municipal commercial zoning laws, accessibility standards (like ADA), fire codes, and environmental regulations to secure necessary occupancy permits.

· Sustainability & Energy Efficiency: Incorporate energy-effective materials and sustainable building practices to meet green building certifications (such as LEED).

· Vendor & Budget Oversight: Review contractor bids, estimate bulk material costs, manage project timelines,



and approve structural change orders to keep the project within budget.

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architectural Engineering.

· Licensing: Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred and often mandatory for signing off on commercial blueprints.

· Technical Software: Mastery of Autodesk Revit (BIM), AutoCAD, and structural analysis programs (like ETABS, STAAD.Pro, or SAP2000).

· Core Competencies: Expertise in commercial building materials (reinforced concrete, structural steel), building code interpretation, large-scale project management, and vendor negotiation.

Experience: Min. 4-5 Years of experience in Commercial Building (civil construction)

Salary: 30,000 p.m. to 35,000 p.m.
