Position Title: Supervisor – Quality Control / Chemical Production

Department: Quality Control / Manufacturing Operations

Reports To: QC Manager / Plant Production Manager

Position Overview The Chemistry Supervisor oversees daily floor operations, chemical testing, batch manufacturing, and laboratory compliance. This role bridges bench-level chemical processes and operational management, ensuring products meet strict safety, quality, and regulatory benchmarks while leading a team of junior chemists, technicians, and floor operators.

Key Responsibilities

Operational & Laboratory Oversight

Supervise day-to-day wet chemistry, raw material inspection, in-process quality checks, and finished goods testing.

Maintain, calibrate, and oversee analytical instrumentation (e.g., pH meters, spectrophotometers, titrators, refractometers, viscosity meters, and basic chromatography).

Enforce adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).

Oversee chemical reagent preparation, standardizations, volumetric solution handling, and chemical inventory controls.





Team Leadership & Workflow Management

Allocate shift tasks, work schedules, and sample testing queues across junior chemists and laboratory technicians.

Train recent technicians on safety protocols, testing techniques, sample handling, and proper analytical documentation.

Conduct regular performance monitoring and identify skills training needs across the team.

Compliance, Quality & Safety

Ensure full adherence to Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) guidelines, including correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage and hazardous chemical storage.

Lead laboratory investigations into Out of Specification (OOS) and Out of Trend (OOT) test results; draft Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) plans.

Maintain audit-ready logbooks, test certificates (COAs), batch records, and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) repositories.

Oversee chemical waste segregation, handling, and hazardous disposal in compliance with environmental regulations.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
