Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain backend features for payment flows, including charges, refunds, disputes, and webhooks
- Refactor legacy services, modernize APIs, improve test coverage, and reduce technical debt.
- Build scalable microservices and APIs, ensuring code quality through testing, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.




- Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver sprint commitments.
- Document technical designs, API specifications, and runbooks, ensuring production stability and smooth knowledge transfer.

Requirements

- 3+ years of backend engineering experience with solid Java proficiency; Kotlin and Python are additional advantages.
- Hands-on experience building and operating production payment flows in fintech, payments, or billing systems.
- Strong expertise in REST/GraphQL APIs, microservices, event-driven architecture, distributed systems, and MySQL/SQL.
- Experience with unit, integration, and contract testing, legacy service migration, GitLab, CI/CD, and production incident resolution.
- Self-driven engineer capable of owning end-to-end delivery with minimal supervision, collaborating across distributed teams
