AVP - Legal - Payments - 6+ Years - Mumbai An exciting opportunity for an experienced legal professional to join a leading global financial services organization as an Assistant Vice President, Senior Legal Counsel, within its Payments business. The role involves providing legal advisory and transactional support across APAC and EMEA, with exposure to complex cross-border transactions and payments solutions.

Location - Mumbai.

Responsibilities -

1. Provide legal advice and transactional support to the Payments business across APAC and EMEA.
2. Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize contracts with customers, partner banks, and other stakeholders.
3. Coordinate with local, regional, and global legal teams and business stakeholders on legal matters and transactions.
4. Support cross-border and cross-business initiatives by identifying legal considerations and execution requirements.
5. Instruct and coordinate with external legal counsel on relevant matters.
6. Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of legal support.
7. Support legal matters relating to cash management, liquidity management, merchant acquiring, trade, and working capital solutions.

Requirements -

1. Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 6 years of post-qualification legal experience.
2. Strong drafting, negotiation, and legal analytical skills.
3. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
4. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
5. Experience in cash management and liquidity products would be an advantage.
6. Exposure to e-commerce, merchant acquiring, financial market infrastructure,



or credit transactions would be preferred.
