Bus Maintenance Mechanic

Job Location: Odisha

We are looking for an experienced Bus Maintenance Mechanic with 2–3 years of hands-on experience in bus maintenance, mechanical repairs, electrical work, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems in buses.
- Perform routine servicing, preventive maintenance, and breakdown repairs.
- Handle electrical systems, including batteries, starter motors, alternators, wiring, lights, and fuses.
- Carry out mechanical repairs related to engines, brakes, clutch, gearbox, suspension, and cooling systems.
- Identify faults and ensure timely repair to minimize vehicle breakdowns.
- Inspect buses regularly and maintain service and repair records.
- Ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness before deployment.
- Coordinate with drivers and transport supervisors regarding vehicle defects and maintenance requirements.

Required Skills




- 2–3 years of experience in bus, heavy vehicle, or commercial vehicle maintenance.
- Practical knowledge of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to identify faults and carry out repairs independently.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance and breakdown handling.
- Experience with diesel buses is preferred; CNG bus maintenance experience will be an added advantage.

Qualification ITI in Diesel Mechanic, Motor Mechanic Vehicle (MMV), Auto Electrical, or a relevant technical trade preferred.
