Role Overview

Oben Electric is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical audit skilled with 35 years of experience in a reputed audit firm, having hands-on exposure to both internal and statutory audits. The candidate will be responsible for conducting audits, evaluating internal controls, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, identifying financial and operational risks, and supporting the implementation of audit recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

- Internal Audit: Plan and execute internal audits across business functions to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, operational processes, and compliance with company policies.

- Statutory Audit: Coordinate and support statutory audit activities, including preparation of audit schedules, documentation, reconciliations, and responses to auditor queries.

- Risk Assessment: Identify financial, operational, and compliance risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.

- Internal Controls: Evaluate existing control frameworks, identify gaps, and suggest improvements to strengthen governance and process efficiency.

- Financial Review:



Review financial transactions, account reconciliations, expense claims, vendor payments, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.

- Audit Documentation: Maintain working papers, audit evidence, reports, and supporting documents in accordance with applicable auditing standards.

- Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to applicable accounting standards, statutory requirements, tax regulations, and internal policies.

- Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with Finance, Accounts, Operations, and external auditors to facilitate smooth audit execution and timely reporting.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- 35 years of relevant experience in internal and statutory audit.

- Prior experience working with a reputed audit firm, preferably a Big 4 or a leading mid-sized audit firm.

- CA / CA Inter qualification preferred; candidates with relevant finance and audit qualifications may also be considered.
