We are looking for an experienced AS/400 (IBM iSeries) Software Engineer to design, develop, debug, and support applications on the IBM i platform. The candidate will work across the complete software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and production support.

Mandatory Skills

- RPGLE, RPG/400, CLLE, and CL/400
- Synon or CA2E Any one is mandatory
- Solid knowledge of ILE concepts
- Proficiency in DB2 and SQL
- Experience with AS/400 development tools:

- SEU

- SDA

- RLU

- PDM
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Understanding of unit testing and test-case design

- Good communication skills

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and enhance applications on the AS/400 (IBM i) platform using RPGLE, RPG/400, CLLE, and CL/400.
- Design and modify programs, display files, and report files based on changing business and database requirements.
- Develop and maintain applications using Synon or CA2E.




- Query and analyze DB2 data using SQL to investigate issues and identify solutions.
- Perform debugging, root-cause analysis, and production issue resolution.
- Participate in unit testing, integration testing, and defect resolution.
- Provide application support and ensure adherence to client SLAs.
- Collaborate with QA, business, and technical teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Prepare technical documentation and support production deployments.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in manual/functional testing is an added advantage.
- Exposure to production support and SLA-driven environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with development, QA, and business teams.
