Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Android Lead Engineer to drive Android/AOSP development, Automotive Android integration, and SoC platform bring-up activities for advanced automotive systems. The ideal candidate will own Android platform topics, lead system integration efforts, resolve complex hardware-software issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across BSP, Linux, middleware, hardware, and application domains.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Develop, customize, and integrate AOSP / Android Automotive OS (AAOS) on automotive SoC platforms.

✅ Own Android Framework, HAL, System Services, and platform integration activities.

✅ Work closely with Linux BSP, SoC, hardware, and application teams for platform bring-up and system integration.

✅ Design and integrate AIDL/HIDL HALs, JNI layers, and native C/C++ components.

✅ Integrate and debug display, audio, camera, storage, USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, connectivity, and other SoC peripherals.

✅ Analyze and resolve Android platform, kernel, BSP, and HW/SW integration issues.

✅ Optimize system performance, boot time, memory usage, and platform stability.

✅ Customize Android build environments and manage AOSP, Soong, and Make-based integrations.





✅ Collaborate with SoC vendors such as Telechips for platform integration, issue analysis, and patch management.

✅ Participate in architecture reviews, design discussions, and code reviews.

✅ Drive end-to-end delivery from requirements to development, integration, debugging, and production release.

✅ Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.

Required Skills

✔ 6+ years of Android development experience, preferably in Automotive Android.

✔ Robust expertise in Android Framework, AOSP, and Android Architecture.

✔ Proficiency in Java/Kotlin and C/C++ development.

✔ Hands-on experience with Android HAL (AIDL/HIDL) and JNI.

✔ Strong understanding of Android System Services and Binder IPC.

✔ Experience in Android BSP, SoC integration, and board bring-up.

✔ Expertise in Android build systems (Soong/Make) and AOSP customization.

✔ Good knowledge of Linux Kernel, Device Tree, and driver development.

✔ Experience with Android Automotive OS (AAOS) and Automotive Infotainment systems.

✔ Strong debugging skills using ADB, Logcat, Dumpsys, Systrace, Perfetto, and related tools.

✔ Experience with Git, Gerrit, and CI/CD workflows.

✔ Ability to independently own technical topics and drive them to closure.
