Role & responsibilities

- Operate and monitor reciprocating ammonia compressors and chillers.

- Check suction pressure, discharge pressure, oil pressure, oil level and operating temperatures.

- Monitor vibration, unusual noise, ice formation and abnormal operating conditions.

- Follow compressor starting, running and shutdown procedures.

- Maintain shift logbooks and record operating parameters.

- Troubleshoot compressor faults and report abnormalities to the supervisor.

- Monitor ammonia leakage and follow emergency response and safety procedures.

- Perform routine inspections and support preventive maintenance.

- Monitor condenser, evaporator and refrigeration system performance.

- Ensure proper cooling supply for uninterrupted dairy production.

- Coordinate with maintenance teams during breakdowns and scheduled servicing.





- Follow plant safety procedures and ensure safe operation of refrigeration equipment.

Preferred candidate profile

- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial ammonia refrigeration and chiller operation.

- Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration and reciprocating compressors.

- Understanding of pressure, temperature and oil-pressure monitoring.

- Basic troubleshooting and ammonia safety awareness.

- ITI/Diploma in Mechanical or Refrigeration preferred.

- Industrial refrigeration experience preferred.
