About VerifAIX

VerifAIX is building an agentic AI platform for semiconductor design verification, automating workflows from specification to verification closure. The role

We're looking for an AI Systems Engineer to work on the VerifAIX core platform: multi-agent orchestration, the services and data layer the agents operate on, the LLM gateway, and the tool and API surfaces that connect our agents to EDA tools, IDEs, and CI pipelines.

This is a senior, hands-on, high-ownership role at the intersection of AI systems, developer infrastructure, and semiconductor verification. Applied research is part of the job.

What you'll do

- Design and build the multi-agent orchestration layer on LangGraph and related multi-agent frameworks: specialist agents, shared state, human-in-the-loop checkpoints, and durable execution for long-running formal and simulation jobs.
- Build agents that use EDA tools, run multi-step verification workflows, analyze the results, and recover from failures.
- Build the tool layer the agents act through: formal engines, simulators, and specification and RTL queries, with structured results an agent can reason over.
- Build structured representations of verification artifacts, such as specifications, testplans, testbenches and results, and the services and storage behind them.
- Build the LLM gateway:



provider-agnostic access to commercial and private models, per-agent model selection, caching, and token and cost tracking.
- Expose agents through MCP, CLI, and REST so they can be called from IDE tools (Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code) and CI pipelines.
- Combine LLM output with deterministic checkers so results are verified rather than assumed.
- Build evaluation harnesses and reliability metrics, and run experiments that improve agent accuracy.
- Instrument the system: tracing, logging, and audit.
- Deploy in customer environments, including on-premises installations.

What we're looking for

- MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. PhD preferred.
- 5+ years building production software, including 2+ years with LLM-based systems.
- Solid software engineering fundamentals and expertise in Python.
- Hands-on experience with multi-agent frameworks, LangGraph in particular. Experience with others, such as AutoGen, CrewAI, or the OpenAI and Claude agent SDKs, is also relevant.
- Experience shipping LLM-enabled or agentic products: agent orchestration, tool calling, retrieval, evals, and self-correction loops.




- Experience designing backend systems: services, async architectures, workflow engines, and relational and graph stores.
- Ability to take an ambiguous problem from formulation through experiment, implementation, and evaluation.
- Transparent written and verbal communication.

Nice to have

- Formal methods, SMT solvers, program analysis, or compilers.
- SystemVerilog/SVA or EDA exposure.
- Experience deploying AI systems in enterprise, on-premises, or security-sensitive environments.
- Startup or high-ownership engineering experience.
- Publications in ML systems, program synthesis, formal verification, or NLP.
