VFX Compositing Artist — After Effects

INFX wasn't built to be big. It was built to be good.

We're an independent VFX studio working across music videos, films, commercials, and projects with an international reach. We work as a tight team, take ownership of our work, and care about the details that make a shot feel right.

We believe good VFX goes beyond making things look impressive. It's about understanding the shot, solving the problems in front of you, and knowing what the frame needs. Every layer has a purpose, every decision matters, and the final image should feel like it belongs.

We're looking for artists who think the same way.

The Role:-We're looking for an experienced VFX Compositing Artist with strong proficiency in Adobe After Effects. Someone who knows compositing inside out, understands the wider VFX pipeline, and can step beyond their primary department when a shot calls for it.

You'll be working across music videos, films, commercials, and other creative projects, handling everything from detailed cleanup and integration to complex, multi-layered shots. We value artists who can work independently, figure things out, and bring their own creative thinking to the table.

This isn't just about following instructions and getting shots out of the door. It's about understanding what you're making, taking responsibility for it, and finding the best way to get there.

What You'll Be Working On:-

- Compositing CG, live-action footage, FX, and other elements into seamless final images.
- Handling keying, rotoscoping, tracking, paint, cleanup, screen replacements, and set extensions.
- Integrating CG renders, multi-pass elements, particles, simulations, and atmospheric effects.
- Working with colour, lighting, edges, grain, motion blur, and other details that bring a comp together.
- Troubleshooting challenging shots and finding creative, practical solutions rather than relying on one approach.
- Working across different stages of the VFX pipeline when needed, with a good understanding of how compositing connects to 3D, lighting, rendering, and FX.

- Taking shots from the initial setup through reviews and final delivery, maintaining consistency and keeping project files organised.
- Working closely with the team, communicating clearly, and making thoughtful decisions when responding to feedback.

What We're Looking For:-
- Strong proficiency in Adobe After Effects and a solid understanding of professional compositing workflows.
- Professional experience working on music videos, films, commercials, or similar VFX projects.
- A strong foundation in compositing, with working knowledge of roto, keying, tracking, paint, cleanup, CG integration, and FX.
- A good understanding of 3D workflows, including cameras, lighting, rendering, multi-pass EXRs, and colour management.
- Familiarity with software such as Blender, Cinema 4D, or Houdini is a plus.
- A good eye for detail, visual consistency, and knowing when something feels off, even if it's difficult to pinpoint why.
- The ability to break down a shot, troubleshoot problems, and work out solutions independently.
- The ability to manage your time, handle feedback, and deliver quality work within deadlines.
- Explicit communication and the ability to collaborate with a remote team.
- A strong showreel or portfolio is a must. We want to see how you approach shots and the quality of work you can deliver.

Formal qualifications aren't a priority for us. Your work, your understanding of the craft, and the way you approach problems matter more. What Matters to Us:--Craft over volume. We take on work so we can give it the attention it deserves.

-Ownership over handoffs. We value artists who take responsibility for their shots and see them through.

-Problem-solving over shortcuts. There isn't always a straightforward answer, and we appreciate people who can find one.

-No compromise on the frame. Technical correctness is the starting point. The final image still needs to feel right.

-We're a small team, and that means your work matters. If you care about the craft, enjoy figuring out difficult shots, and want to work with people who take the same things seriously, we'd like to see your work.
