Actuarial Consultant Pricing And GLM Modeling – 4+ Years – Bengaluru / Gurugram

Are you an experienced actuarial professional with strong expertise in Property & Casualty (P&C;) pricing, ratemaking, predictive modeling and actuarial analytics? We are looking for a skilled professional to develop advanced pricing models, build scalable actuarial data infrastructure and leverage modern data science techniques to drive profitable business decisions.

Responsibilities

- Design and implement advanced predictive pricing models using Generalized Linear Models (GLMs), machine learning techniques and credibility methods.
- Identify risk segmentation opportunities and develop rating variables to improve pricing accuracy.
- Perform model validation, monitoring, recalibration and performance analysis.
- Build scalable analytics pipelines using tools such as Emblem, Radar, Python, R, SQL and cloud-based data platforms.
- Develop automated workflows for data ingestion, preparation and model deployment.
- Design, build and maintain actuarial DataMarts covering policy, claims, exposure and reinsurance datasets.
- Develop and optimize ETL pipelines to integrate data from multiple source systems.
- Support the development of a centralized Pricing Data Mart (PDM) for scalable pricing analytics.
- Define actuarial data structures, feature libraries and datasets for pricing and modeling analyses.
- Ensure data governance, documentation, accuracy and reproducibility of actuarial datasets.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to implement scalable solutions on cloud-based analytics platforms.
- Communicate model results, analytical insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

Requirements





- 4–6 years of experience in Property & Casualty (P&C;) ratemaking, pricing or regulatory filings.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics or a related field.
- Affiliation with IAI, IFoA, CAS or SOA, with 8+ actuarial exams completed.
- Strong understanding of General Insurance, P&C; actuarial concepts, insurance regulations and filing requirements.
- Experience in predictive modeling, actuarial pricing, risk segmentation and statistical analysis.
- Knowledge of GLMs, credibility methods and machine learning techniques such as Decision Trees and Random Forest.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, VBA, SAS, SQL, R, Python or other relevant analytical tools.
- Familiarity with actuarial pricing tools such as Emblem and Radar.
- Exposure to cloud data ecosystems such as Snowflake, Databricks or AWS analytics tools.
- Experience in data analysis, ETL pipelines, data preparation and actuarial data infrastructure.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex actuarial concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing priorities and deadlines in a rapid-paced environment.
