Shiner Distributors & Power Controls is a growing Malappuram-based business engaged in the sale, installation, repair and maintenance of solar power systems, UPS units and batteries. We are looking for a dependable Accountant to keep our books accurate, our statutory filings on time, and our inventory and vendor records in order.

Key Responsibilities

- Record day-to-day transactions (sales, purchases, receipts, payments and expenses) accurately in Zoho Books
- Prepare and verify sales invoices, purchase bills, credit and debit notes, and e-way bills
- Maintain inventory records, including serial numbers and warranty details of solar panels, inverters, UPS units and batteries
- Reconcile bank accounts and vendor and customer ledgers every month
- Follow up on customer receivables and plan vendor payments as per due dates
- Prepare data for GST returns (GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B), reconcile GSTR-2B with the books, and support TDS compliance
- Prepare monthly MIS reports on stock, receivables, payables and profitability




- Coordinate with the external accountant and auditors for finalisation of accounts and audit queries
- Maintain supporting documents and keep records properly filed

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com/M.Com) or equivalent; pursuing or completed CA Inter, CMA Inter or similar is an advantage
- 1 to 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a trading or distribution business
- Working knowledge of Zoho Books (Tally or similar software experience is an added advantage)
- Valuable understanding of GST, TDS and basic income tax compliance
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Good communication skills in Malayalam and English
- Honest, detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines
