Job Title: Accounts Manager Department: Finance & Accounts

Reports To: Finance Manager / General Manager / Director

Job Type: Full-Time

Experience: 5–8 years (preferred)

Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / MBA in Finance or equivalent

Job Summary The Accounts Manager is responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, statutory compliance, cash flow management, and internal financial controls. The role ensures accurate financial records, timely reporting, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and effective management of the accounts team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting and Financial Management

Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank transactions. Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.

Review journal entries, ledger balances, and financial statements.

Monitor cash flow, working capital, and fund requirements.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

1. Taxation and Statutory Compliance

Ensure timely filing of GST returns, TDS returns, and other applicable tax returns. Manage income tax compliance and coordinate with tax consultants and auditors.

Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements.

Maintain proper documentation for tax assessments, audits, and regulatory reviews.

1. Budgeting and Financial Planning

Prepare annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts. Monitor actual expenses against budgets and investigate variances.

Analyse revenue, costs, profitability, and financial performance.

Recommend cost-control measures and improvements in financial efficiency.

1. Audit and Internal Controls

Coordinate internal, statutory, and tax audits. Ensure proper maintenance of vouchers, invoices, ledgers, and supporting documents.

Establish and monitor internal financial controls.

Identify financial risks and implement corrective measures.





1. Accounts Receivable and Payable

Monitor customer outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments. Ensure timely processing of supplier invoices and payments.

Reconcile customer, supplier, bank, and intercompany accounts where applicable.

Maintain effective credit control and payment procedures.

1. Team Management

Supervise and guide the accounts team. Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.

Review accounting work to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Train team members on accounting procedures and financial systems.

1. MIS and Management Reporting

Prepare monthly MIS reports and financial dashboards. Provide management with financial analysis and actionable insights.

Track key financial indicators and report significant variances.

Support management in business planning and decision-making.

Required Skills and Competencies

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Knowledge of GST, TDS, income tax, and applicable statutory compliance.

Proficiency in Tally Prime, MS Excel, and accounting or ERP software.

Robust analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication, leadership, and team-management abilities.

High attention to detail, integrity, and confidentiality.

Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

Working Conditions The Accounts Manager will work closely with senior management, internal departments, auditors, banks, tax consultants, customers, and suppliers to ensure smooth financial operations and effective financial control.
