Financial Management: Oversee day-to-day accounting, general ledger, journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and monthly book closures.

1. Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, MIS reports, balance sheets,

profit and loss statements, and management dashboards.
1. Steel Plant Costing: Manage product costing for steel manufacturing processes, including raw materials, scrap,

ferro alloys, electrodes, power, fuel, consumables, labour, and production overheads.
1. Inventory & Stores Accounting: Monitor accounting and valuation of raw materials, work-in-progress, finished

goods, and stores and spares. Ensure reconciliation between physical stock and financial records.
1. Budgeting & Cost Control: Prepare annual budgets, monitor actual expenditure against budgets, analyse

variances, and recommend cost-saving measures to improve plant profitability.
1. Taxation & Statutory Compliance: Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, income tax, and other applicable

statutory requirements. Coordinate with tax consultants and authorities.
1. Accounts Payable & Receivable: Supervise vendor payments, customer collections, credit control, outstanding

balances,



and reconciliation of vendor and customer accounts.
1. Working Capital Management: Monitor cash flow, fund utilisation, receivables, payables, inventory holding, and

banking facilities to optimise working capital.
1. Audit & Internal Controls: Coordinate statutory, internal, tax, and cost audits. Ensure compliance with accounting

policies, financial procedures, and internal control systems.
1. Plant Coordination: Work closely with Production, Purchase, Stores, Sales, Commercial, Logistics, and HR teams

to ensure accurate financial transactions and operational cost reporting.
1. Fixed Assets & Capital Expenditure: Maintain fixed asset registers, monitor capital expenditure, oversee asset

capitalisation, depreciation, and reconciliation of physical assets.
1. MIS & Business Analysis: Provide financial insights on production costs, contribution margins, profitability,

expense trends, and operational performance to senior management. Team Management: Lead and guide the accounts team, allocate responsibilities, review work quality, and ensure timely completion of financial deliverables.
