Job Title: Academic Counsellor

Job Summary An Academic Counsellor is responsible for guiding prospective and current students in making informed educational and career decisions. The role involves counselling, admissions support, student engagement, and ensuring a positive learning journey aligned with institutional goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Student Counselling & Guidance

- Provide one-on-one counselling to students regarding courses, career paths, and academic goals
- Understand student needs, interests, and aptitude to recommend suitable programs
- Address student queries related to curriculum, career scope, and outcomes

2. Admissions Support

- Handle inbound and outbound calls, emails, and walk-ins
- Convert leads into enrollments through effective counselling techniques
- Follow up with prospective students and maintain conversion records

3. Relationship Management

- Build and maintain strong relationships with students and parents
- Ensure a positive onboarding experience for new students
- Act as a point of contact throughout the student lifecycle

4. Data Management & Reporting

- Maintain accurate student records in CRM systems
- Track counselling sessions, leads, and conversions
- Generate daily/weekly/monthly reports on performance

5. Coordination & Support





- Collaborate with faculty and administrative teams
- Assist in organizing seminars, webinars, and career guidance sessions
- Support marketing activities like education fairs or campaigns

- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree (mandatory); Master’s degree preferred
- Background in Education, Psychology, HR, or Business Administration is an advantage

Experience

- 0–3 years (Freshers with strong communication skills can apply)
- Experience in counselling, sales, or customer relationship roles is a plus

Work Environment

- Office-based
- May require weekend work during admission seasons

Job Types: Full time, Permanent, Fresher Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
