Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript/JavaScript.

Develop and execute automated tests for UI, API, backend, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end scenarios.

Perform API, backend, database, microservices, performance, and load testing, including SQL validation, log analysis, and data verification.

Integrate automated tests into GitHub Actions pipelines with quality gates, reporting, and continuous feedback.

Manage test environments and test data, perform defect and root cause analysis, and support production issue investigations.

Participate in requirements analysis, test strategy, risk assessment, test planning, release validation, and quality metrics activities.

Use AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude to improve test design, automation development, defect analysis, and framework maintenance.

Mentor junior Quality Engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

- 3–4 years of experience in Quality Engineering with strong test automation expertise.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript/JavaScript and experience building scalable automation frameworks.
- Experience with REST API automation, Postman, backend testing, SQL, databases, log validation, and microservices.
- Hands-on performance testing experience with JMeter or BlazeMeter.
- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and collaborating through git-based workflows.




- Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, functional, integration, regression, system, end-to-end, risk-based, and quality engineering practices.
- Experience with test strategy, test planning, defect management, root cause analysis, test data and workplace management, and release quality validation.
- Experience using AI-assisted testing tools, preferably Claude Code.
- Preferred experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, distributed architectures, contract testing or service virtualization, accessibility, security testing, and monitoring or observability tools.
- ISTQB, Playwright, AWS Fundamentals, or Performance Testing certifications and experience with enterprise SaaS or publishing/content management platforms are advantageous.
- Strong analytical, debugging, communication, collaboration, stakeholder management, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.
- Must have the right to work and live in India and be within commuting distance of the Bengaluru office.
