- Access Control & Visitor Management: Monitor hospital entry and exit points, verify visitor identification or issue passes, and restrict unauthorized access to sensitive or high-risk zones (such as ICUs, pharmacies, and psychiatric units). [1, 2, 3]
- Patrols & Surveillance: Conduct regular foot or mobile patrols of hospital buildings, parking lots, corridors, and perimeters; monitor CCTV and security alarm systems. [1, 2, 3]
- Emergency & Crisis Response: Respond immediately to medical emergencies, fire alarms, security breaches, or violent/disruptive behavior. Assist clinical teams with crowd control or emergency evacuations. [1, 2]
- De-escalation & Conflict Resolution: Use calm communication, active listening,



and qualified de-escalation techniques to handle distressed, aggressive, or intoxicated patients and visitors. [1, 2]
- Incident Investigation & Reporting: Investigate security incidents, interview witnesses, review surveillance footage, and write detailed, accurate daily activity and incident reports. [1]
- Asset & Property Protection: Safeguard hospital medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and cash handling areas; report facility maintenance or safety hazards. [1, 2]
