Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior PLC Programmer with a strong background in Special Purpose Machines (SPM) and industrial automation. The candidate must have hands-on experience developing PLC programs, integrating automation systems, commissioning machines, and troubleshooting complex machine sequences.

Mandatory requirements:

- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in PLC programming.
- Robust, hands-on experience in SPM design, development, and automation.
- Proven experience programming PLCs for automated machinery.
- Experience in machine development, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to independently handle automation projects from concept/design coordination to final commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, modify, and debug PLC programs for Special Purpose Machines.
- Design machine sequences, interlocks, alarms, safety logic, and automatic/manual operating modes.
- Work with HMI/SCADA systems, servo drives, VFDs, sensors, pneumatic systems, and industrial communication protocols.
- Integrate PLC programs with electrical panels, sensors, actuators, robots, and other automation components.
- Perform machine trials, FAT, SAT, commissioning, and customer-site troubleshooting.
- Identify and resolve complex PLC, electrical,



and machine-sequence issues.
- Coordinate with mechanical design, electrical design, assembly, and project teams.
- Review automation requirements, prepare technical documentation, and maintain program backups.
- Guide junior PLC programmers and support technical problem-solving.
- Ensure machine performance, reliability, safety, and delivery timelines.

Technical Skills

- PLC programming: Siemens / Mitsubishi / Omron / Allen-Bradley or equivalent.
- HMI programming and industrial automation.
- Special Purpose Machine (SPM) automation.
- Servo motors, VFDs, sensors, actuators, and pneumatics.
- Industrial communication: PROFINET, PROFIBUS, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, or equivalent.
- Machine sequence development, troubleshooting, FAT/SAT, and commissioning.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be a hands-on automation specialist who has independently developed and commissioned PLC-controlled SPMs. Candidates with only maintenance experience, basic PLC exposure, or no SPM development experience should not be shortlisted.

Screening Criteria

- Minimum 10 years of relevant PLC programming experience.
- Mandatory hands-on SPM automation experience.
- Independently developed PLC programs for machines.
- Experience with machine commissioning and troubleshooting.
- Strong technical ownership and project-handling capability.
