Correct issues identified in QC reports after the primary editing stage.
Key responsibilities:
- Interpret QC reports, timestamps, and correction logs.
- Insert approved corrected or re-recorded words, phrases, and passages.
- Match the timing, tone, level, and room tone of replacement audio.
- Resolve reported edit and continuity issues.
- Listen before and after each correction and verify that the fix is accurate.
- Export corrected chapters, log completed corrections, and escalate missing or unusable pickups.
Required skills:
Advanced clip-level Pro Tools editing, accurate timing, fades and crossfades, clip gain, playlist management, QC report interpretation, and session/version control.
Success measures:
Every QC item resolved or escalated, natural-sounding insertions, no newly introduced defects, and accurate exports.
