Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Surveyor to support surveying and setting-out activities for railway yard infrastructure projects. The candidate will be responsible for conducting site surveys, establishing levels and alignments, verifying coordinates, and assisting the execution team in ensuring construction work is completed according to approved drawings and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out topographical surveys and site measurements for railway yard development works.
- Perform setting-out activities for railway tracks, track alignment, formation levels, drainage, platforms, buildings, and associated civil structures.
- Establish and verify benchmarks, reference points, coordinates, and reduced levels (RLs).
- Conduct longitudinal and cross-sectional surveys for earthwork and track formation.
- Monitor track alignment, gradients, curves, and formation levels as per approved drawings and project requirements.
- Operate and maintain surveying instruments, including Total Station, Auto Level, Digital Level, GPS/GNSS equipment, and other relevant tools.
- Prepare survey data, field books, level sheets, coordinate sheets, and measurement records.
- Calculate cut-and-fill quantities and assist in earthwork quantity measurements.
- Check site dimensions and levels against approved engineering drawings.
- Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, contractors, and design teams to resolve survey discrepancies.




- Assist in preparing as-built surveys and final survey documentation.
- Ensure surveying equipment is calibrated, maintained, and handled properly.
- Follow site safety procedures and railway work-permit requirements.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related field.
- Relevant surveying certification or practical training is an advantage.

Required Experience

- 1–5 years of experience in land surveying, civil construction, infrastructure, railway projects, or railway yard development.
- Candidates with railway track alignment, formation, and yard surveying experience will be preferred.

Technical Skills

- Hands-on experience with Total Station and Auto Level.
- Knowledge of railway track geometry, alignment, gradients, and formation levels.
- Understanding of coordinates, benchmarks, RLs, and setting-out procedures.
- Ability to read civil and railway engineering drawings.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and survey data processing software.
- Knowledge of earthwork quantity calculations and as-built survey preparation.

Salary: Negotiable, based on qualifications and experience.

Preferred Candidates: Candidates with hands-on experience in railway yard development, track alignment, earthwork, formation levels, drainage, and associated railway civil infrastructure works.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
