Role Description The Information Technology System Engineer role at RVS iGlobal is a full-time, in office position based in Jammu. The System Engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining servers, networks, and related infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance. Daily tasks include monitoring systems, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, providing technical support to internal teams and client stakeholders, and performing routine system administration activities such as updates, patches, and backups. The role also involves collaborating with NOC and helpdesk teams, documenting configurations and procedures, implementing best practices for security and compliance, and participating in incident response and root-cause analysis.



The engineer will work within standardized processes to support continuous operations and contribute to service improvement initiatives. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong skills in Information Technology fundamentals, including operating systems, hardware, and core IT infrastructure concepts.
• Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting and Technical Support to diagnose issues, resolve incidents efficiently, and provide clear guidance to users and team members.
• Candidates should possess skills in System Administration, encompassing server management, user and access management, patching, backup operations, and performance optimization.
• Candidates should possess skills in Network Administration, including basic routing and switching, firewall concepts, VPNs, and network monitoring tools.
• Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Server+, Microsoft, or similar vendor certifications are beneficial.
• Ability to work in a structured, process-driven environment, with strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience in 24x7 support environments or MSP settings, and familiarity with RMM, backup, and monitoring tools, is an advantage.
