About us
Jivya Enterprises LLP is a sister concern of Lathia Rubber Manufacturing Co. Pvt. Ltd., a 70-year-old rubber products manufacturer with five plants serving the paper, textile and steel industries. Jivya is building a current plant in Vapi, Gujarat, to make a specific rubber product for the textile industry, using proven technology from an international partner. The process is new to India. The role We need a production head to own the plant floor from day one. That means machine installation and commissioning, then trials, then regular production. You will make sure the final product comes out to a consistent quality. You will also build a team and system that runs well without the owners on the floor every day. What you will do
• Mixing and calendering: supervise temperatures, sheet thickness and batch consistency.
• Internal mixer: supervise loading order, mixing time and dump temperature.
• Compounding: follow compound recipes exactly, control weighing and mixing quality, and spot compound-related defects.
• Machine settings and faults: set up machines and solve faults using engineering knowledge
• Finishing: supervise lathe, grinding and trimming work.
• Planning: plan production daily, weekly and monthly, and arrange batches to save time and material.
• Coordination: meet sales, dispatch and packaging every day. Give realistic dates and raise delays early.
• Quality: find the root cause of rejections and customer complaints, fix them, and check that the fix worked.
• SOPs: write SOPs for every process, train operators on them and check that they are followed.
• Stock: use FIFO on all stock, and cut scrap, rework and wastage.
• Maintenance: work with the maintenance team on preventive schedules and spares.
Know when a problem is the process and when it is the machine.
• Reports and data: keep production data in Excel and later on the ERP, and prepare daily production, rejection and consumption reports. Look at the numbers for trends and check that shop-floor records are accurate.
• Improvement: use Kaizen and Six Sigma to reduce rejections and downtime. Lead at least one improvement project every quarter.
• People: manage supervisors and operators on both shifts, so both perform equally well. Run a regular training programme for your team.
• Compliance: keep the plant safe, compliant and ready for inspections. What you bring
