Role Description The Counselor will serve as a primary support and advisory resource for prospective and current learners, guiding them through academic choices, career paths, and entrepreneurial journeys. This full-time, on-site role is based in Thane and involves conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, group guidance workshops, and information sessions for students and families. The Counselor will help applicants understand BIE’s programs, admission requirements, and learning pathways, and will support enrolled learners with goal-setting, personal development plans, and referrals to appropriate institutional resources. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining accurate counseling records,



collaborating with faculty and administrative teams, contributing to outreach and orientation activities, and providing timely, empathetic guidance in line with BIE’s mission and values. CTC

• Strong counseling and guidance skills, with the ability to support learners in academic, career, and personal development decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, including active listening, clear articulation of complex information, and relationship-building with diverse stakeholders.
• Organizational and administrative skills to manage appointments, documentation, follow-ups, and reporting with attention to detail.
• Understanding of business, management, or entrepreneurship education, and interest in supporting individuals who want to build and lead organizations.
• Ability to work on-site in Thane full time, collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, and adapt to a fast-paced educational environment.
• Relevant academic background in Psychology, Counseling, Education, Management, or a related field; professional counseling certifications are an advantage.
• Prior experience in student counseling, academic advising, or career guidance within an educational or training institution is preferred.
