Designation: Finance Associate

Qualification: Semi-qualified CA/CMA, or B. Com with an MBA in Finance or equivalent
Experience: 3–6 years
Shift Timings: Approximately 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM IST
Work Mode: Remote (India) | Occasional travel or coordination as required

Key Responsibilities

1. D2C and Channel Accounting

- Help design and improve sales-to-books processes and integrations as sales channels scale.

- Account for sales through company-owned Shopify storefronts and quick-commerce platforms such as Blinkit, Zepto, and Swiggy Instamart.

- Reconcile orders, returns, payment gateway transactions, Cash on Delivery (COD) settlements, channel payouts, and deductions with the books of account.

- Track channel-wise inventory, consignment or Sale-or-Return (SOR) stock, and margins, wherever applicable.

2. Reporting and MIS

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS and management reports, as required.

- Prepare supporting schedules, reconciliations, and analyses for review by senior finance team members.

3. Banking and Treasury Support

- Execute and record payments, perform bank reconciliations, and track fund positions across entities.

- Support cash flow monitoring and disciplined working capital management.

4. Accounting and Bookkeeping

- Maintain complete and accurate books of account for each portfolio company using Zoho Books.

- Record purchases, sales, expenses, bank transactions, and journal entries while ensuring that ledgers remain accurate and reconciled.

- Perform monthly book closures and prepare financial statements for review.

5. Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable

- Prepare and issue invoices to customers and channel partners, and track and follow up on collections.

- Process vendor bills and payments in accordance with approved policies while ensuring prudent management of credit cycles.

- Maintain accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) ageing reports,



and proactively escalate overdue balances and exceptions.

6. Statutory and Compliance Support

- Prepare accurate data and working papers for GST, TDS, and other statutory filings handled by external consultants.

- Maintain compliance calendars and ensure that supporting documentation is audit-ready.

- Support annual audits and statutory financial statement preparation.

7. Controls and Documentation

- Follow and help strengthen internal controls, approval workflows, and record-keeping practices.

- Maintain organised, audit-ready records for each entity to ensure traceability, accuracy, and continuity.

Role Requirements

- Hands-on experience with Zoho Books is essential.

- Proven experience in accounting for D2C sales through Shopify and quick-commerce platforms, including settlement and payout reconciliations.

- Solid accounting fundamentals and working knowledge of GST and TDS.

- Strong Excel skills.

- Excellent attention to detail, reliability, and discipline in meeting deadlines and maintaining documentation.

- Ability to manage multiple entities and competing priorities consistently and accurately.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work within a structured review framework.

- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with lean teams.

- Experience in implementing D2C and quick-commerce accounting best practices and improving evolving finance processes is a strong advantage.

Candidate Background

- Qualification: Semi-qualified CA/CMA, or B. Com with an MBA in Finance or equivalent.

- Experience: 3–6 years of relevant experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and compliance.

- Industry Preference: Experience with D2C brands, consumer businesses, or startups is strongly preferred.

- Additional Advantage: Experience managing accounting and reporting across multiple entities.
