Senior Application Engineer About this team: The Distribution and Fulfillment Technology team is a highly motivated and knowledgeable squad that is responsible for day to day support functions to continuous improvement initiatives across Distribution systems. This individual will be responsible for areas that focus on the Warehouse Management System that drives all user activities and hardware automation within Lululemon’s warehouses. The individual will be part of a team responsible for supporting the second largest labor force in the company This position plays a key role in the stabilization of the warehouses with a solid focus and commitment to improve operational efficiency and eliminate defects. Core

responsibilities:
As an Senior Application Engineer, you will design and implement application solutions independently including complex configurations, custom development using platform-specific languages and system integrations while applying application engineering best practices and optimization techniques. You will lead technical design discussions on configuration and customization approaches, conduct thorough configuration and code reviews ensuring quality standards, and mentor junior application engineers on platform capabilities, customization techniques, and troubleshooting approaches.



You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders on application requirements and feasibility, make implementation decisions for application solutions including configuration versus code trade-offs, and contribute to application engineering standards that improve system quality and maintainability. This role may require availability outside of standard business hours, including on call support, based on business needs. Select responsibilities include:
• Own end-to-end production support for Manhattan applications, ensuring stability of functionality and integrations while independently driving incident resolution.
• Lead incident triage and RCA efforts, collaborating with vendor and cross-functional teams to implement sustainable fixes and prevent recurrence.
• Design and implement moderately complex solutions using a mix of configuration and platform-specific development aligned with architecture standards.
• Drive technical decision-making by evaluating configuration vs. customization approaches and influencing solution direction for scalability and maintainability.
• Develop and enhance platform extensions and integrations, ensuring reliable interaction between WMS and upstream/downstream systems.
• Configure and optimize business objects and data models to support evolving distribution center processes and operational requirements.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code following best practices, while contributing to code reviews, standards, and continuous improvement of the platform.

Qualifications:




• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 8 -12 years of experience designing application solutions, leading platform implementations, and establishing configuration standards, or equivalent
• Solid experience working on Manhattan warehouse management systems, preferably WMOS and Manhattan Active WM
• Knowledge and experience with distribution center automation technologies such as warehouse control systems (WCS), material handling equipment (MHE), Putwalls, Auto baggers, etc.
• Possess strong team management skills with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Creative problem solver possessing the ability to measure and improve products and processes
• Self-starter with the ability to make independent decisions and the judgment to know when to seek guidance
• Ability to manage and complete multiple tasks within tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability resolving critical production issues
• Experience designing complex low-code automation spanning multiple business processes; demonstrated ability to write scripts in platform-specific languages to extend functionality when needed Must haves:
