Role Description The Purchasing Manager is a full time, on-site role based in Mysore, responsible for overseeing all procurement activities related to construction and real estate projects. This role includes identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing, and ensuring timely availability of materials and services within budget and quality standards. The Purchasing Manager will coordinate closely with project, engineering, and finance teams to forecast material requirements, manage purchase orders, and monitor inventory levels. Daily tasks involve reviewing vendor performance, maintaining accurate procurement records, ensuring compliance with company policies,



and supporting cost optimization and risk mitigation in the supply chain. The role also requires ongoing market research to identify new vendors, materials, and technologies that can add value to Horizon Estates’ projects. Qualifications
• Robust purchasing and procurement skills, including vendor sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
• Experience in supply chain management, inventory control, and cost optimization in construction or real estate.
• Ability to analyze quotations, compare technical and commercial terms, and make data-driven purchasing decisions.
• Proficiency with procurement and ERP software, as well as MS Office tools for reporting and documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
• Knowledge of construction materials, market pricing, and local regulatory requirements related to procurement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
• Prior experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar procurement role, preferably within the real estate or construction industry.
