About the Role
We are looking for a technically strong, hands-on Senior SAP Developer who has successfully designed, developed and delivered custom enhancements, applications, reports, APIs and integrations for SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition. The ideal candidate brings deep ABAP expertise combined with practical experience in ABAP Cloud, RAP, CDS views, SAP BTP and clean-core extensibility.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop and deploy custom applications, extensions, reports and APIs for SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition using ABAP Cloud and RAP.
• Build RAP business objects, including CDS view entities, behaviour definitions and implementations, service definitions, and OData service bindings.
• Develop and consume OData V2/V4 and other supported APIs to enable integrations between SAP S/4HANA and external systems.
• Design and implement in-app developer extensions and side-by-side extensions on SAP BTP, selecting the appropriate approach based on technical constraints and business requirements.
• Implement custom business logic, validations, enhancements and BAdIs using SAP-released extension points and APIs.
• Work with SAP standard APIs, communication scenarios, communication arrangements,



authentication and connectivity configurations.
• Develop CDS-based reporting solutions and custom data models, including associations, access controls, annotations and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technically feasible solutions while adhering to clean-core principles.
• Troubleshoot complex development and integration issues, including API errors, authorization issues, data inconsistencies and performance bottlenecks.
• Own technical delivery from solution design through development, testing, deployment and production support. Must-Have Technical Skills 1. Strong ABAP Development Foundation
• 6-8 years of hands-on ABAP development experience.
• Robust ABAP Objects, ABAP SQL, debugging and performance optimization skills. 2. ABAP Cloud and RAP
• Practical experience developing RAP-based applications or APIs delivered to production.
• Working knowledge of managed/unmanaged RAP scenarios, behavior implementations, actions, validations and determinations.
• Strong experience with CDS view entities, service definitions and service bindings.
• Hands-on experience using ABAP Development Tools (ADT). 3. SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
• Direct project experience developing solutions for SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.
• Understanding of ABAP Cloud restrictions, released objects/APIs,



and clean-core development principles.
• Experience implementing developer extensibility and/or supported custom logic and enhancements.
• Ability to identify when a requirement needs an in-app extension, a side-by-side extension or a different supported approach. 4. APIs and Integrations
• Proven experience developing and/or consuming APIs for integrating SAP with external applications.
• Understanding of OData, REST, JSON, authentication, integration testing and error handling.
• Experience working with SAP standard APIs, communication scenarios and communication arrangements.
• At least one successfully delivered end-to-end integration involving SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud. 5. Technical Ownership
• Ability to independently analyze requirements and propose workable technical solutions.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting testing, deployment and production issues.
• Ability to clearly explain technical design decisions, limitations and alternative approaches. Good to Have
• SAP BTP ABAP Environment (Steampunk) and side-by-side application development.
• SAP Integration Suite / Cloud Integration (CPI), including API-based integration flows.
• SAP Business Application Studio and Fiori elements development.
• SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP), Node.js or Java.
• SAP Build, event-driven integration and SAP Event Mesh.
• Experience integrating AI services using SAP AI Core, generative AI hub or other enterprise AI platforms.
• Classic ABAP development on S/4HANA Private Cloud or on-premise systems.
• SAP ABAP Cloud or BTP development certification.
