About Us
Wirality is building a creator, influencer and partnerships vertical.
We are building it around a simple belief: as more of culture, attention and influence moves through people rather than traditional media channels, brands need a much stronger way to identify, access and work with the right creators, talent and communities.
We will work across influencer marketing, creator partnerships, talent, brand collaborations, creator-led IP, community-led distribution and other opportunities that sit at the intersection of brands and people with influence.
We are starting from zero.
And we are looking for someone who wants to build it with us.
The Role
We are looking for an Associate Director - Influencer, Creator & Partnerships to build and run this department.
This is a sales-first, P&L-owning; role.
You will be responsible for building the business: finding clients, winning mandates, developing relationships with creators and talent, building the team, creating the operating system and ensuring that the division is commercially successful.
You will have significant autonomy in deciding how the business gets built.
What You Will Own
1. Build the Business
You will own the P&L; and be accountable for its financial performance.
That means identifying opportunities, building the pipeline, pitching, negotiating, closing and growing accounts. Opportunities can come from both existing relationships and clients acquired independently.
You should be equally comfortable walking into a CMO’s office to sell an idea and sitting with a spreadsheet to understand whether the business behind that idea makes sense.
2. Build the Client Network
Develop relationships with brands, CMOs, marketing teams, agencies and other potential partners.
Identify influencer and creator opportunities within existing wirality clients while simultaneously building an independent new-business pipeline.
3. Build the Creator & Talent Network
Develop a solid network across creators, influencers, celebrities, talent managers and emerging voices.
The network should span nano and micro creators through to large creators and celebrity talent.
Initially, creators will primarily participate as partners/vendors across campaigns. Over time, we may selectively develop deeper relationships with particular talent, including representation where it makes strategic sense.
For important creator and talent relationships, we expect you to remain personally involved.
4. Build & Execute Creator Solutions
Understand a client brief and translate it into the right creator solution.
This could include:
- Influencer marketing campaigns
- Creator partnerships
- Celebrity and talent partnerships
- Brand collaborations
- Creator-led IP
- UGC/creator ecosystems
- Community and distribution partnerships
- Long-term creator programmes
- New formats that emerge as the creator economy evolves
You should understand the entire lifecycle of a campaign: strategy, creator selection, commercials, negotiation, contracting, execution, measurement and reporting.
This isn’t a role where strategy gets handed over to someone else to figure out.
5. Build the Operating System
We don’t want this to become a business dependent entirely on someone’s phonebook.
You will help turn relationships and experience into infrastructure.
That includes building systems around:
Creator discovery and classification; creator CRM and relationship management; historical pricing; campaign performance data; creator evaluation and scoring; briefing and shortlisting; contracting and payments; campaign measurement; and reporting.
6. Build the Team
You will start with a small team and build it as the business grows.
We expect an initial team of approximately 3–5 people, with further investment tied to the economics and growth of the division.
You will be responsible for defining the roles you need, hiring the right people and creating a team capable of independently running campaigns and relationships.
7. Own Commercial Discipline
Revenue alone isn’t enough.
You will be responsible for protecting margins, negotiating effectively with creators and partners, managing campaign economics and building a commercially healthy business.
Measurement should also go beyond vanity metrics wherever possible.
We want to progressively build the ability to understand the relationship between creators, attention, engagement, distribution and actual business outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone with approximately 5–8 years of experience, with meaningful experience inside the influencer/creator ecosystem.
You should ideally have worked at a leading influencer marketing agency, creator company, talent business or a similar organisation where influencer marketing was a core part of the business rather than an ancillary service.
You should already understand how this industry works.
That means knowing creators, knowing brands, understanding commercials, knowing how deals get negotiated, understanding campaign operations and having relationships you can activate.
More importantly, you should know what it takes to build a business in this category.
Who are we looking for :
This role will suit someone who is:
Commercial.
You like selling and are comfortable carrying a number.
Entrepreneurial.
There is no existing playbook, team or machine waiting for you. You will be expected to build them.
Networked.
You have genuine relationships across both the creator ecosystem and the brand/agency ecosystem.
Hands-on.
In the early days, there will be occasions when you need to sell the campaign in the morning and help solve its execution problem in the evening.
Data-oriented.
You believe influencer marketing can become more measurable and systematic than simply choosing creators based on followers and engagement rates.
Collaborative.
Z Infinity is an independent vertical, but it exists within wirality. The ability to work across teams and companies is important.
Culturally plugged in.
You understand Indian internet culture, creators, platforms and how influence is changing.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role will ultimately be measured by the financial outcomes of the department.
Revenue.Margins. Client growth.Repeat business. And the quality of the business being built underneath those numbers.
You will have significant autonomy to determine how you get there, with the leadership reviewing the growth and financial performance of the business regularly.
Why This Role Is Different
You aren’t joining to inherit an influencer marketing department. You are joining to build one.
You will have the backing, infrastructure, client ecosystem and investment capacity of wirality, while having the autonomy to build this vertical almost like your own business.
For the right person, there is also the possibility of creating meaningful long-term upside linked to the business they help build.
If you’ve spent the last few years learning how the creator economy works and have been waiting for an opportunity to build something of your own within it, we’d like to talk.
