Product Manager – Structure Protection Coatings Kataline Limited | Nagpur, Maharashtra | Full-Time | On-site About Kataline Limited is a specialty chemicals and coatings company based in Nagpur. Our Structure Protection Coatings segment protects concrete and steel structures across infrastructure, construction, and industrial sectors, covering Anti-Carbonation, Anti-Corrosion, and Fire Proofing (intumescent / passive fire protection) systems.
About the Role
We’re hiring a Product Manager to own and grow this portfolio. This is a strategic, cross-functional product management / marketing role, not a sales role. You’ll manage the existing range, drive new product development, and work closely with R&D; to turn customer needs into profitable products. You’ll report directly to the Whole Time Director. What You’ll Do
• Own the full product lifecycle and P&L; / margin for the portfolio
• Manage existing products: positioning, pricing strategy, and margin improvement
• Lead new product development from concept and business case through to commercialization, partnering with R&D; and Manufacturing
• Run market analysis, competitive intelligence, and voice-of-customer studies to build the product roadmap
• Define go-to-market strategy, value proposition, and technical positioning
• Drive third-party certifications, approvals, and compliance with EN 1504, ISO 12944, BS 476, EN 13381, UL and related standards
• Create technical datasheets, application guidelines, and marketing collateral; train and enable the sales team
• Support specification-selling with consultants, structural engineers, and EPC contractors
• Work across R&D;, Operations, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and Sales to deliver volume, margin, and launch targets What We’re Looking For
• 8–12 years in Product Management, Business Development, or Marketing
• Bachelor’s in Engineering (Chemical Engineering strongly preferred); Paints / Polymer / Coatings background is an advantage
• MBA in Marketing / Business Management is a plus
• Exposure to specialty chemicals, coatings, construction chemicals, or related industrial products preferred
• Proven track record managing an existing portfolio and taking new products from concept to launch
• Strong business acumen with a technical mindset, comfortable with both P&L;/pricing and specifications/application
• Analytical, market-oriented, self-driven, with excellent stakeholder management skills Note: Candidates from a purely field-sales background are not the target profile for this role.
