JOB PURPOSE SPARC is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical R&D; company, and technology is central to how we discover, develop and govern science. This is an IT transformation role responsible for driving SPARC’s end-to-end technology agenda — keeping infrastructure, applications and data secure, available and compliant, while actively driving the adoption of Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Automation across all Preclinical, Clinical and corporate enabling functions. This position shall be reporting to CEO and closely interface with the entire Senior Management at SPARC. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Strategy & Transformation
• Identify opportunities for digital innovation and automation
• Identify, evaluate and deploy LLM assistants, workflow and document/dossier automation, SOP digitization, and scientific-computing aids
- that create measurable value
• Drive adoption of emerging technologies (AI, Cloud, Data Analytics, Automation tools)
• Own the enterprise application portfolio — ERP (SAP), R&D; and lab systems (e.g. LIMS / ELN), document & quality management, regulatory systems and collaboration tooling
• Drive integrations / APIs, data platforms and BI / analytics 2. Program Management
• Work closely with senior business leaders to understand strategic objectives
• Act as a bridge between IT and other functions
• Manage expectations and ensure stakeholder buy-in for transformation initiatives
• Present and ensure smooth transition from legacy systems to modern solutions while implementing best practices 3. Infrastructure & Cybersecurity
• Oversee installation,



configuration and maintenance of server architectures, networks (LAN / WAN) and cloud/ hybrid services
• Ensure high availability, performance and minimal downtime across technical equipment and end-user services
• Maintain security controls and safeguard company and research data against breaches
• Establish IT governance, policies, SOPs and KPIs, and report progress and risks to leadership Educational Qualification & Relevant Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics or a related engineering / technology field. A management qualification (e.g. MBA) is an added advantage.
• Certifications Required: CISSP (or CISM)
• A GenAI / Agentic-AI credential
• Approximately 15 years of progressive IT experience, including meaningful time leading enterprise IT / infrastructure / security and driving digital / AI-led transformation — preferably within pharma, life-sciences or another regulated R&D; workplace. Key Competencies

• Strong AI / digital fluency, with sound judgement on what to adopt, when, and where it genuinely adds value
• Data security and compliance-first mindset suited to a regulated R&D; environment; protective of data integrity
• Excellent vendor-negotiation, program-management and CXO / scientific-stakeholder management skills.

- Lead and develop a lean IT team (2 direct reports plus extended partner teams) and build internal capability.
