Role Description The AI Scientist / Computational Biologist will design, implement, and optimize AI and computational models to analyze human-relevant biological and pharmacological data for drug toxicity and efficacy prediction. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing machine learning pipelines, conducting quantitative and statistical analyses, collaborating with life science experts to translate biological questions into computational workflows, and generating explainable insights that support precision medicine and clinical trial design. The role also involves contributing to research strategy, preparing technical reports and publications,



and supporting the continuous improvement of Biolligence’s AI platform. This is a full time remote role, requiring regular collaboration with cross-functional teams across time zones. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong skills in Computer Science and Data Science for building and deploying scalable AI and data processing pipelines.
• Candidates should possess expertise in Pattern Recognition and Statistics to develop robust predictive models and interpret complex biological data.
• Candidates should possess solid Research skills to design experiments, validate models, and contribute to scientific publications and presentations.
• Advanced degree (PhD or Master’s) in Computational Biology, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience applying machine learning or AI methods to genomics, pharmacology, toxicology, or other life science domains.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI and computational biology (e.g., Python, R) and familiarity with ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn).
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, and communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with handling high-dimensional biological datasets, experimental design, and familiarity with regulatory or clinical trial contexts is a plus.
