Role Description The English Facilitator, High School role is a full-time, on-site position based at Discoveri Oaks School in Hyderabad. The facilitator will design and deliver engaging English language and literature lessons aligned with the school’s progressive pedagogy and curriculum objectives. Daily responsibilities include planning units and lesson plans, facilitating inquiry-based and discussion-led learning, assessing student progress through varied tools, and providing constructive feedback to learners. The role involves collaborating with colleagues to integrate English learning with other disciplines, creating authentic reading and writing experiences, and maintaining a classroom environment that is safe, inclusive,



and respectful. The facilitator will also communicate regularly with families, participate in school events and professional development, and contribute to the holistic growth and well-being of students. Qualifications
• Demonstrated expertise in English language and literature instruction, including lesson planning, classroom facilitation, and assessment practices.
• Strong skills in student-centered and inquiry-based teaching, with the ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learning needs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to model effective reading, writing, speaking, and listening for adolescents.
• Capacity to build positive, respectful relationships with students, families, and colleagues, and to contribute actively to a team-oriented school culture.
• Comfort with integrating technology into teaching and learning, including digital tools for content creation, feedback, and student engagement.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a closely related field; advanced qualifications or teacher certification in secondary English are an advantage.
• Prior experience teaching or facilitating English for middle or high school learners, preferably in progressive, international, or holistic education settings.
• Commitment to inclusive, gender-neutral, and non-discriminatory practices, and alignment with the school’s values of holistic development and global citizenship.
