Education The candidate should have completed a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Work experience We are looking for candidates with at least 2 years of work experience. Prior experience in research will be an added advantage. Job Role As a Research Consultant, you will work closely with consulting teams and senior leaders to understand complex governance and development challenges in depth, and turn research into large-scale, system-wide solutions. At GDi, research is not an end in itself. Your work will directly shape how governments design policies, programs, institutions and delivery systems. Typically, you will work on:
• Doing thorough secondary research across academic literature, government reports, administrative data, policies and global examples to understand what is already known and where the gaps are.
• Designing and carrying out primary research, such as surveys, interviews, stakeholder consultations and field research, to understand people’s perspectives, constraints and on-ground realities.
• Analysing and bringing together qualitative and quantitative evidence from multiple sources to identify possible levers for change.
• Building a deep understanding of the system by mapping the institutions, actors, incentives and processes that shape the problem, and how they are linked.
• Working with consulting and implementation teams to turn research findings into practical solutions, such as new programs, delivery models, governance structures and technology-enabled systems.
• Developing high-quality research outputs and reusable knowledge products that support decision-making and add to GDi’s institutional knowledge. Location The base location for all selected candidates is Current Delhi. Depending on the project, occasional travel will be required to meet officials within and outside Delhi.
