SAP OpenText VIM Functional consultant

Experience:
6+ Years Role Type: Contract Work Mode: Remote Client: HCL Job Summary We are looking for an experienced SAP OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) Functional Analyst with strong expertise in VIM configuration, customization, workflow management, and integration with SAP ERP and financial systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, configuring VIM processes, resolving functional issues, and driving continuous improvements in invoice processing and document management.

Key Responsibilities
• Configure, customize, and support SAP OpenText VIM to meet business and financial process requirements.
• Gather business requirements, conduct functional analysis, and translate requirements into functional specifications.
• Configure and maintain workflows, approval processes, document types, and process types.
• Manage IES/BCC/ICC configuration and related document processing functionalities.
• Configure Logic Module Processing, Central Reporting, VIM roles, and template maintenance.
• Support integration between SAP OpenText VIM, SAP ERP, and financial systems in collaboration with technical teams.
• Perform functional testing, prepare test plans and test cases, validate results, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Manage and resolve SAP VIM incidents, service requests, and support tickets within agreed service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Troubleshoot invoice processing issues, workflow errors, and configuration-related defects.
• Provide end-user training, prepare training materials, and support business users.
• Maintain functional documentation,



configuration guides, process flows, and standard operating procedures.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement enhancements to improve invoice processing efficiency.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and other SAP functional teams to ensure smooth system operations. Required Skills
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP OpenText VIM (Vendor Invoice Management).
• Expertise in VIM configuration, customization, and workflow management.
• Experience with IES/BCC/ICC, document type configuration, and process type configuration.
• Knowledge of Logic Module Processing, Central Reporting, VIM role configuration, and template maintenance.
• Experience integrating OpenText VIM with SAP ERP and financial systems.
• Solid understanding of vendor invoice processing and accounts payable workflows.
• Experience in functional analysis, requirements gathering, and functional specification preparation.
• Proficiency in functional testing, UAT, defect resolution, and ticket management.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Skills
• Experience supporting SAP OpenText VIM in a production or application maintenance environment.
• Knowledge of SAP FI/AP processes and invoice lifecycle management.
• Experience with incident management tools and SLA-based support.
