POSITION: Accounting & Taxation Lead

Hyderabad, India EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time WORK SHIFT: Night Shift (EST/PST) EXPERIENCE 3–5 Years Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced Accounting & Taxation Lead to manage financial operations, client bookkeeping, and tax compliance strictly aligned with Canadian business hours (Night Shift in Hyderabad). The ideal candidate brings 3 to 5 years of hands-on expertise with QuickBooks and North American tax/accounting standards. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Full-Cycle Bookkeeping & Accounting: Oversee end-to-end accounting processes using QuickBooks Online and Desktop, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. Canadian Tax Filing & Compliance: Manage HST/GST/PST filings, corporate tax preparation (T2 support), and personal income tax reporting (T1) in compliance with CRA (Canada Revenue Agency) regulations. Financial Reporting & Period Closure: Execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes. Generate balance sheets, income statements, and management accounts with variance analysis. Payroll Administration: Process Canadian payroll, calculate statutory deductions (CPP, EI, Income Tax), issue T4 slips, and file payroll remittances on time. Team Leadership & Review: Guide junior accountants, review journal entries, reconcile discrepancies, and enforce quality control standards across all financial outputs. Client Communication: Engage directly with Canadian stakeholders, clients, and auditors during night shift hours to resolve queries, present financial updates, and support tax filing periods. SHIFT & SCHEDULE DETAILS Canadian Time Zone Alignment: This position operates on a regular Night Shift (typically overlapping 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM or 7:00 PM to 4:00 AM IST) to synchronize real-time with Canadian client operations, management meetings,

Experience:
3 to 5 years of core experience in financial accounting, bookkeeping, and tax compliance, preferably in an offshore US/Canadian accounting firm or KPO environment. QuickBooks Proficiency: Expert-level working knowledge of QuickBooks Online (QBO) and QuickBooks Desktop. Quickbooks Certification is highly preferred.
