The Merchandiser will be responsible for merchandise planning, assortment management, inventory monitoring, sales analysis, and coordination with internal teams to ensure the right products are available at the right stores, at the right time and in the right quantities.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan and manage product assortment based on sales trends, store requirements, seasonality, and customer demand.
• Monitor sales, stock levels, sell-through, stock cover, ageing, and inventory movement across stores/categories.
• Analyse product performance and identify fast-moving and slow-moving SKUs.
• Coordinate with Buying, Design, Production, Warehouse, Retail Operations, and Supply Chain teams for smooth merchandise flow.
• Ensure timely allocation, replenishment and stock transfers across stores.
• Prepare and maintain regular MIS reports, including sales analysis, stock reports, category performance, ageing, and inventory reports.
• Support seasonal and promotional merchandise planning, including new product launches.
• Recommend markdowns, promotions, stock transfers, or liquidation plans for slow-moving inventory.
• Track category-wise, store-wise,



and SKU-wise performance against targets.
• Assist in demand forecasting and inventory planning to minimize stock-outs and excess inventory.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis to understand pricing, assortment, trends, and customer preferences.
• Coordinate with stores to understand merchandise requirements and resolve stock-related concerns. Required Skills
• Strong understanding of retail merchandising and inventory management.
• Good analytical and numerical ability.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and reporting.
• Understanding of sell-through, stock cover, ageing, inventory turnover and assortment planning.
• Working knowledge of ERP/POS systems would be an advantage.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of data.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail workplace. Qualification
• Prior experience in apparel, fashion, lifestyle, footwear, accessories, or organized retail would be an advantage.
