About the Role
We are looking for a skilled GC-MS & Headspace Technology Specialist with hands-on experience in analytical testing, compound identification and fragrance and flavour analysis. The ideal candidate should have solid technical knowledge of GC-MS, Headspace technologies and chromatographic analysis, along with analytical, sensory evaluation and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities
• Operate, calibrate and maintain GC-MS and Headspace GC-MS instruments for fragrance and flavour analysis.
• Perform analytical testing of volatile and semi-volatile compounds, raw materials and finished products.
• Develop, optimise and validate analytical methods for fragrance and flavour formulations.
• Interpret chromatographic and mass spectral data to identify compounds and evaluate product profiles.
• Conduct product matching, stability analysis and analytical troubleshooting to support R&D; activities.
• Correlate GC-MS analytical results with sensory evaluations to assess fragrance and flavour characteristics.
• Coordinate with Perfumers, Flavourists,



R&D; and Quality Control teams for product development and issue resolution.
• Maintain accurate analytical reports, calibration records and technical documentation.
• Troubleshoot instrument-related issues and coordinate preventive maintenance activities. Candidate Profile
• B.
Sc./M.
Sc. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in the fragrance and flavour industry.
• Strong hands-on experience in GC-MS instrumentation and Headspace sampling techniques.
• Good knowledge of chromatographic method development, mass spectral interpretation and compound identification.
• Understanding of fragrance and flavour raw materials, volatile compounds and analytical testing methods.
• Strong sensory evaluation skills, with the ability to identify aroma characteristics and correlate them with analytical results.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy and technical reporting skills.
• Experience working with a fragrance house, flavour company or analytical R&D; laboratory will be preferred. Reporting To
